Dr. Jayantilal Gada, is the Chairman and Managing Director of Pen India Ltd.
Dr. Gada began his entrepreneurial journey, after passing 10th standard from the Gurukul Gujarati school in Ghatkopar in the media and entertainment industry with a video library called Popular Video Cassette Company. He subsequently ventured into trading video rights and distributing video cassettes across India, soon becoming the largest video library not just in India but also in Asia.
Dr Gada’s excellence and leadership has been recognised and honoured time and again and the various awards that have been conferred to him testify that. He was conferred with a doctorate degree by the Academy of Universal Global Peace and has been a speaker at the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School in Boston.
Dr. Gada has over 35 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He has successfully led the company through the transition from video, audio and terrestrial to satellite and now digital.
He became the leading distributor for all major networks, including Zee, Sony, Colors & Star and OTT platforms such as Netflix & Amazon Prime. In 2004, Zee Entertainment Limited associated with Dr. Gada to provide consultancy services to exclusively purchase TV and broadcasting rights for movies.
Dr. Jayantilal Gada ventured into Bollywood with super successful film Kahaani and since then has had a string of hits and associated with many A-list projects such as Singh is Bling, Shivaay, The Accidental Prime Minister, Zero, Badla, Dream Girl, Jawani Jaaneman, Love Aaj Kal-2, Angrezi Medium. Under Dr. Gada’s leadership Pen Studios was responsible in getting footfalls back in Cinemas post pandemic in 2022. He has a string of back-back hits with top-most directors and actors such as Gangubai Kathiawadi with Sanjay Leela Bhansali starring Alia Bhatt, S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR starring Jr.NTR & Ram Charan, Attack with John Abraham, Vikram with Kamal Haasan, Sita Ramam and R.Balki’s Chup starring Sunny Deol.

Kushal Gada been part of the Pen Studios for the past 12 years and handled various projects in varying capacities – marketing to distribution to production – depending on the projects undertaken. Worked on various films like Ekkis Toppon Ki Salami, Its Entertainment, Rang Rasiya Kahaani 1 & 2 Mahabharat (animated), etc.

He is a Mumbai University Post-Graduate in Management and also acquired an Intellectual Property Certificate from Institute of Intellectual Property – an affiliate of NMIMS, Mumbai.

Neeraj Gala is a qualified practitioner across social platforms with an experience of more than 4 years to generate engagement & revenue. He currently heads the Digital Division of Pen. He actively identifies new revenue opportunities and monetisation methods.

Rutwa Gala is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with 6 years’ experience in the field of accounts, taxation and finance. She is currently heading finance & accounts department at Pen Studios. Mrs. Gala has been involved in the preparation and finalization of books of accounts. She has handled various Tax matters such as Income Tax, GST, etc. She has previously worked with CA Firm – Bhupendra Shroff and company.
